This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. The hosting provider STRATO may process technical server log data, including shortened or anonymised IP information, browser, requested resource and timestamp, for security and reliable operation. Log retention can be up to 60 days.
Video Align processes selected videos locally and does not upload input videos or processing results. The setup creates a random installation ID under %LOCALAPPDATA%\AmrumSoftware\VideoAlign. At most once per day, the update check sends this pseudonymous installation ID and the installed version to this website. They are used only to deliver version information and to count active installations in server logs; they are not combined with video contents or a user account. Removing the local application-data folder deletes the ID, and a later installation then creates a new one.
A successfully detected newer release starts a 40-day update period. Temporary network, DNS, TLS or server failures do not start a period and do not block use by themselves.
Email enquiries are processed only to answer the request and retained as required for correspondence. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or object to processing. Complaints may be addressed to the Independent State Centre for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein.
