Frequently asked questions

Does local capture add Azure cost?

No. It writes a local journal and enables no diagnostic destination. Normal Artifact Signing usage can still be billable under the user's Azure plan.

Does the app store secrets?

No. Passwords, tokens, client secrets, and device codes are never requested or persisted.

Does the app start without the wrapper?

Yes. If there are no records, the table and charts explain why.

How do updates work?

The app retrieves version.json at most once per day and sends only the random pseudonymous installation_id and the local version. Only a successfully detected newer version starts the 90-day deadline; network failures do not.
