Configuration, installation identifier, update state, observations and reports are stored locally. The CLI retrieves MPC observations and JPL Horizons data. These services receive the network address and query required for the request. An update check occurs at most daily and transmits a pseudonymous product-specific identifier. A detected newer release starts a 90-day update period; a network failure alone does not block use.

The shared MPC status probe sends sparse status metadata and a shared pseudonymous identifier to mpcstatus.jostjahn.de, but no observation lines or orbit reports. It can be disabled with probe-status off.

Website

Strato hosts this site. Its server logs can contain the network address, requested URL, time, referrer, browser and transfer volume for delivery, security and error analysis. According to the hosting information used by Amrum Software, logs are retained for 60 days and IP addresses are stored in anonymized form. Download requests create the same connection data. We use no advertising or analytics tracking on this site. A language choice is stored only in your browser.
