Why can Windows show a warning?
The app is a small Windows tool. Without an expensive public code-signing certificate, SmartScreen or antivirus tools may warn for new files. Verify SHA256 hashes on the versions page.
How do updates work?
New versions are published on this website. The setup replaces the installed GUI app without opening a console window.
Where is local data stored?
Configuration, live state, logs, FITS analysis and cache files are stored under %APPDATA%\NEOCPMachine.
MPC fair use
Very short fetch intervals can lead to blocking. The app refuses target refresh values below 60 seconds and warns below five minutes.
