Does the installer need administrator rights?

No. It installs for the current user under %LOCALAPPDATA%\AmrumSoftware\KnownObjectRanges.

How do I install without prompts?

Run KnownObjectRanges-Silent-Setup.exe. It installs immediately without a setup window. Optional Inno Setup parameters such as /DIR=... are forwarded.

Why can SmartScreen still show a warning?

Reputation can take time to build for a new download. The release is Authenticode-signed and its SHA-256 hashes are published on the Versions page.

Will it close my running Tycho?

No. When analysis is requested, it starts a separate Tycho process. Existing Tycho applications are left untouched.

Why is only one FITS image loaded?

For aligned image sets, the first plate-solved image provides the reference needed for Known Objects export.

What if the image says Solved: No?

The application stops before starting Tycho. The CLI returns exit code 3.

Where are results stored?

Directly in the selected data folder by default, or in the flat folder supplied through --output-dir.

Are Mac, Linux, or smartphone builds available?

No. This release is built for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Does the app send observation data anywhere?

No. Analysis and exports stay on the local computer. Opening this website or downloading files creates normal web-server log entries.

How do updates work?

Version 1.4.1 does not perform an automatic update check. Use the Versions page or the website shortcut installed with the program.
