This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising networks. The hosting provider STRATO processes normal server log data such as IP address, timestamp, requested file, browser identifier and referrer. IP addresses are anonymized at hosting level.

The application processes observation files, settings, logs, reports, movie frames and local caches on the user's computer. Observation data are not automatically uploaded to Jost Jahn.

After a successful MPC data request, neocp.txt may additionally be checked at most once per ten minutes across all participating applications. The shared random installation ID, product/version, operating system, timestamp, and technical result data are sent to the MPC status server, but no file contents or observations. The endpoint returns no response data. The hosting server technically processes the public IP address to determine the ISP and a location rounded to approximately ten kilometres; the raw IP address is not stored as a report value. The function can be disabled globally for all participating applications under Settings.

External services such as WAMO, the Minor Planet Center or CDS Aladin are used only when the matching function is invoked. Their own privacy rules apply.
